  • New substitution string #CURRENT_ITEM_HELP_TEXT# - can be added to label templates to display the help text as a ‘tooltip’ when users hover over a label.
  • Dynamic actions triggered by template based-buttons.
  • ROWID can be used as primary key in form/report wizards.

Oracle Business Accelerators: Helping Midsized Businesses Grow Faster

AMI-Partners, a consultancy specialising in identifying the IT needs of small and medium businesses (SMBs), recently published an interesting report on Oracle Business Accelerators.

  

The report looks at the challenges faced by midsize businesses, such as their ambitions for growth being restricted by available funds and technical resources. They need applications that are scalable to meet current and future needs, without the need for large numbers of technical support and operational staff. Most of the software applications on the market are suitable for either large enterprise organisations or small businesses, without an in between solution – leaving midsize companies to choose between investing huge amounts of money in new software, or making do with what they already have.

  

As AMI-Partners detail in their report, there is now a third option available to these organisations - Oracle recognises the unique challenges of midsize organisations and has developed a strategy that addresses these needs, in a robust and cost effective way, while also providing a scalable platform for future growth. 

  

The AMI-Partners’ report states that “Oracle has gotten this right. OUG Ireland and Oracle Applications Events

This week Inoapps attended two great events - OUG Ireland Conference in Dublin and Oracle Applications: A New Standard for Innovation event in London.

 

The OUG Ireland event brought together 200 Oracle users from within the Irish community. The sessions on the day covered Oracle Technology, Oracle E-Business Suite, Fusion, Development and Business Intelligence. There were over 25 educational sessions plenty opportunity for networking with fellow Oracle users.

Oracle Corporation Reports Revenue Growth of 37%

Inoapps, the Oracle Platinum Partner is pleased to report that Oracle’s third quarter fiscal results were up to $8.8 billion – an increase of 37%.

  

While software revenue reaches $6 billion, an increase of 19% and gross margins for hardware achieved 55% in Q3.

The company added 1,500 people to its sales unit in the last year and is looking to hire more to add new customers and to sell more products to current customers.
